What’s the purpose of the pack?  

The content includes facts and advice on the impact of alcohol to help people make better choices about their drinking.  

Who it is for?  

The pack is for bars, clubs, hotels, restaurants, sports venues and pubs – any premises selling alcohol. Anyone who is looking to provide preventative-based alcohol education would find this information beneficial.  

 

What does it include?  

The pack includes:   

1. Factsheet which covers how to help someone who has drunk too much 

2. Digital assets which cover binge drinking (GIF), benefits of drinking less (GIF), benefits of reducing your drinking (infographic), drink-driving (infographic), buying alcohol (infographic).  

3. Videos to embed on your website or intranet which cover binge drinking and alcohol poisoning. 

4. Posters showing ‘How are the units in your drinks staking up?’, ‘Could alcohol be affecting your health?’ and How alcohol affects your short/long-term health x 2 (A4) 

 

What is the UK's low risk drinking guidance?    

To keep health risks from alcohol low, the UK Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) advice is, if you choose to drink, it is safest for both men and women to drink no more than 14 units a week, spread over three or more days with several drink-free days, and no bingeing.
