Drinkaware logo licence
Our logo is used to signpost the public to the Drinkaware website, where they can find information and advice about alcohol, learn about its impact on their health and wellbeing and get support to reduce their drinking.
What does the agreement include?
With a valid agreement, you can use our logo and branding across all your labelling, packaging, website, social media and marketing collateral. If you have multiple brands in your portfolio, you can use the logo across all of your brands.
Terms and conditions of using the Drinkaware logo
Our logo is a registered trademark, therefore any organisation that wishes to refer to Drinkaware, or the Drinkaware website, must obtain prior consent from us by entering into a Trademark Licence Agreement.
Use of the Drinkaware logo is voluntary but is considered best practice by Government, major trade associations and the wider industry.
We will only enter into a Trademark Licence Agreement with organisations that:
1. Promote the Chief Medical Officers' (CMOs) low risk drinking guidelines
2. Comply with The Portman Group and Advertising Standards Authority codes of practice, which govern the packaging and promotion of alcohol in the UK
Drinkaware expects its licence holders to use the logo in compliance with the law and voluntary codes. The Drinkaware logo is a prompt for consumers and is not intended to endorse products or brands.
Drinkaware reserves the right to withdraw use of its logo at any time. Please note that we cannot accept logo requests from third parties. If you are a marketing agency or consultancy working on behalf of a client for example, the company concerned will need to contact Drinkaware directly.
A link to download the logos and our full trademark licence terms will be sent after payment is received.
How can’t the Drinkaware logo be used?
The Drinkaware logo cannot be displayed on:
1. Promotions that encourage consumption above the CMOs' low risk guidelines
2. Imagery or materials that promote the desirability or acceptability of drunkenness
3. Lobbying materials to change alcohol policy
