Our alcohol education resources have received the PSHE Association Quality Mark for best practice PSHE teaching resources.
Drinkaware for Education is free to download and includes curriculum-linked alcohol information and resources for students aged 9 to 14. Incorporating discussion-based activities, role plays and scenarios drawn from everyday situations, the resources make it easy for teachers to equip students with age-appropriate information. Using videos, lesson plans and a range of activities, Drinkaware for Education resources help teachers discuss emotional health and peer pressure, as well as the harms and risks commonly associated with alcohol.
Developed in conjunction with teachers and educational experts, the resources are flexible; can be easily adapted; used individually or in any order, and have received the PSHE Association Quality Mark for best practice PSHE teaching resources.
For teachers and school leaders interested in commissioning evidence-based services, programmes or interventions for young people, further information is available via the Centre for Analysis of Youth Transitions (CAYT); CAYT is run and managed by Mentor as part of the Alcohol and Drug Education and Prevention Information Service (ADEPIS).
